The ted talk i picked was about Adam Foss, a prosecutor with the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office in Boston. Adam was presented a case of a young boy who wanted to go to college ,but didn't have the money. To get the money he stole 30 laptops from Best Buy. He sold most of them. After getting caught, Adam had to choose to prosecute to the full extent of the law, or take a step back and ask if saddling young people with criminal records is the right thing to do every time. Adam choose to not prosecute but to help him. Adam like juror no.8 in 12 angry men. Adam believed there was more to this kid then someone who did a crime. Juror no. 8 believed the young boy deserved to have a few minutes to just look at the actual facts. If there were more people like Adam or Juror no. 8 there would be so many less innocent people held in jail. Maybe not even just innocent people ,but people who are in jail because they need help, and someone to believe in them.
